  1. Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, mix shrimp with lime zest, juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Let marinate for 15–30 minutes while prepping other ingredients.
  3. Cook the Angel Hair Pasta: Bring salted water to a boil and cook angel hair until just al dente (about 2–3 minutes).
  4. Drain and reserve ¼ cup pasta water.
  5. Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté shrimp in a tablespoon of oil or butter until pink and just cooked (1–2 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
  6. Make the Sauce: In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and chili flakes; cook briefly until fragrant.
  7. Carefully pour in the tequila and let it reduce by half (1–2 minutes).
  8. Add broth and cream, then simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  9. Stir in lime juice and season with salt and pepper.
  10. Combine and Serve:Add cooked angel hair and shrimp to the sauce. Toss gently to combine.
  11. Add a splash of pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  12. Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley and a wedge of lime.
