Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pizza

Jamaican Jerk Chicken is one of our favorite dishes at home. While we often enjoy it served over rice, this pizza variation is a fun and easy twist to throw together. The addition of pineapple adds a refreshing burst of sweetness that perfectly complements the bold, spicy flavors of the jerk chicken.

For the Jerk Chicken:

Instructions

  1. 1. Marinate the Chicken:
  2.  In a bowl, mix the chicken with olive oil, lime juice, and jerk seasoning.
  3. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 24 hours for deeper flavor).
  4. 2. Cook the Chicken:
  5. Grill, pan-fry, or bake the marinated chicken until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F / 75°C).
  6. Slice or dice and set aside.
  7. 3. Prepare the Dough:
  8. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  9. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a 10–12-inch circle.
  10. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel if using a stone.
  11. 4. Assemble the Pizza
  12. Spread tomato or BBQ sauce evenly over the dough.
  13. Add shredded mozzarella cheese.
  14. Distribute the jerk chicken, pineapple chunks, and red onion slices on top.
  15. 5. Bake
  16. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned.
  17. Optional: brush crust edges with olive oil before or after baking for a golden finish.
  18. 6. Garnish & Serve
  19. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro (optional).
  20. Slice and serve hot!

  • Heat level: Adjust cayenne or add Scotch bonnet pepper for authentic Jamaican heat.
  • Vegan twist: Use jerk-seasoned jackfruit or tofu and vegan cheese.
